In 1995, Carsten Bang, Jakob Petterson, and Thomas Wivel went on air on ZTV with a project that would later prove to have a decisive influence on their lives and stand-up careers. The three comedians started out experimenting with the talk show "Nu forstår jeg ingenting" (Now I don't understand anything) and then crystallized the best ideas from the talk show into the comedy show "Det' Jo Løgn" (It's a lie). Det' Jo Løgn is the first comedy created by the new generation of comedians in Denmark. Classic comedy was mixed with surreal twists in the borderland between the somewhat understandable and the completely hazy – and out of this sprang a highly remarkable cast of characters.
