## Synopsis

Twelve years after graduating from high school, Helmut Hausknecht's former class is planning a class reunion. Hausknecht, still a teacher, has heart problems. His former pupil, Wolfgang Lichtenfeld, now a senior physician and an excellent surgeon, operates on him.
