Her real name and old stage name is Kanako Sakai (酒井 香奈子, Sakai Kanako). Currently freelance, she was previously affiliated with Rams and OgiPro The Next.On November 11, 2015 she changed her stage name from Kanako Sakai to Kana Sakai, at the same time as her 29th birthday.
