Simon John Charles Le Bon is a British singer, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the new wave band Duran Duran and its offshoot Arcadia. Simon Le Bon was a member of the local church choir from a young age, and was trained as an actor. However, in 1980, he auditioned to join the pop group Duran Duran. Before long, Duran Duran became one of the biggest music acts of the decade worldwide selling millions of records.
