Johnny Shannon was an English actor. Best known for his role as gangster Harry Flowers in the cult film Performance, he appeared in numerous television and film productions over a 35-year period, often playing policemen or villains in crime dramas. Shannon had been an amateur boxer in his youth and was working as a trainer when he was asked to help James Fox prepare for his role in Performance. As a result, he landed the part of Harry Flowers. On this foundation he was able to build an acting career in film and on television which lasted through the 1970s and 1980s, with occasional parts there…
