Leopold Gmeinwieser (born November 12, 1946, in Munich, Germany) is a German actor. He began his film career in 1969 and first gained prominence in the early 1970s through leading roles in German sex films, including Bohr weiter, Kumpel. From the mid-1970s onward, Gmeinwieser transitioned into mainstream cinema and television, becoming a familiar character actor. He appeared frequently in popular German crime series such as Tatort, Der Alte, Derrick, Der Bulle von Tölz, Polizeiinspektion 1, and Die Rosenheim-Cops, as well as in the long-running series Lindenstraße.
