Munich native Christian Tramitz (born in 1955) took acting lessons while still pursuing his university studies in art history, philosophy, and theater studies. His father is a film producer, and on his mother's side, Tramitz hails from the acting Hörbiger family. He gained his first media experience alongside Michael Herbig on the radio show *Die Bayern Cops*, which subsequently gave rise to the television series *Isar 3*.
