One of the most famous comedy stars in the history of Egyptian cinema and theater, he was born in Menoufia Governorate in 1938. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts at Cairo University in 1960. Hassan Youssef discovered him and introduced him to the theater, where he played in one of his first plays (Hello Shalaby).
