Bas Hassanat Piniwat is a Thai-American-Chinese singer and actor born in Bangkok and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand. His cousin is actor Chaiyapol Julien Poupart. After studying at Montfort College in elementary school, he went on to study at the Thai-Chinese bilingual school Chongfah Xinseng Wanish Bamrung. However, when he quit table tennis and chose to pursue acting, he switched to a GED programme.
