Yasushi Ueda (b. May 22, 1967) is a Japanese television drama director and producer affiliated with Kyodo Television. A graduate of Nihon University’s College of Art, Department of Broadcasting, Ueda made his directorial debut in 2002 with Tales of the Unusual (Yonimo Kimyō na Monogatari). Since then, he has been involved in the production of numerous dramas for Kyodo Television. In 2004, he served as the lead director for the first time with Wonderful Life.
