An Egyptian director, writer and producer, born in 1897. He started his career as a journalist at Al-Lataif Al-Musawara newspaper and also worked at Dar Al-Hilal. He then turned to cinema and met the Lebanese actress and producer Assia, who assigned him the responsibility of directing the film (When a Woman Loves). He then continued writing and directing a number of films, including: (The Return of the Absent), (Zuleikha Loves Ashour), and (Shajarat Al-Durr). He died in 1947.
