Rie Matsumoto (松本 理恵, Matsumoto Rie, born 1985) is a Japanese anime director and storyboard artist. After working for Toei Animation, she joined Bones. She used the alias Shoji Matsumoto (松本 正二, Matsumoto Shōji) to do work for other companies while she was still restricted by her contract as an employee of Toei Animation.
