Russian actor, director, choreographer. In 1971 he graduated from the Leningrad Choreographic School named after A.Ya. Vaganova (teacher A.A. Pavlovskiy). In 1971-1977 he was a member of the ballet troupe of the Opera Studio of the Leningrad Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. In 1977-1993 - at the Leningrad Maly Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.P. Mussorgskiy. In 1987 he graduated from the ballet master department of GITIS (teachers E.S. Maksimova and V. Vasilyev).
