Gregg Barbanell is an American sound editor and foley artist. He grew up in San Francisco, California where he became involved in theater while attending Washington High School. He initially studied theater at the School of Theater at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, but decided to transfer to their film school after a year. In 1977, he graduated from CalArts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film.
