Phil is a multi award winning BAFTA nominated creator, writer, producer and director. He started performing stand up as a teenager in his native Liverpool before training as a comedy producer in the fabled BBC Radio Light Ent Dept in the early 90’s. He moved into TV working with the likes of Sean Lock on ’15 Storeys High’ and Al Murray in ‘Time Gentlemen Please’ before giving Ricky Gervais his first break in the now forgotten ‘Jim Tavare Show.’ He went on to work with Sharon Horgan and Dennis Kelly, producing the critically acclaimed ‘Pulling’ before going on to create PhoneShop for Channel 4…
