Giorgos Armenis (Klimatia, Ioannina, 18 October 1943) is a Greek actor, director and playwright. He was a student of Karolos Koun. He had a difficult childhood as his parents divorced early and he was raised by his mother. Before becoming an actor, he had worked in various jobs and also worked as a sailor and was of left-wing political background. As he himself admitted in an interview, the impetus to get involved in theater was a radio show, during which he heard Koun speak.
