John Ortiz Wijdenbosch (Paramaribo, 25 April 1973 - Lelystad, 28 May 2017) was a Dutch actor of Surinamese descent. John Wijdenbosch came to the Netherlands at the age of 16. Initially he wanted to be a rapper, but by coincidence he applied for a role in the Fort Alpha series. In 2001 Wijdenbosch played in Costa, Monte Carlo and Bradaz. He studied scriptwriter and worked with Wijo Koek on a film he wanted to realize through crowdfunding. In recent years he earned a living as a social skills trainer and mail deliverer.
