Arantxa Aguirre Carballeira (Madrid, 1965) is a Spanish documentary director, screenwriter, and writer. The daughter of actress Enriqueta Carballeira and film director Javier Aguirre, she has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in film, working as an assistant director for filmmakers such as Mario Camus, Pedro Almodóvar, Carlos Saura, and Luis García Berlanga, among others.
