Robinson Díaz was born in Envigado in 1966. He began acting as a teenager at the INEM school in Medellín in a theater group he formed with his friends, where he staged plays by authors such as Carlos José Reyes and Luis Enrique Osorio. Eager to become a professional, he traveled to Bogota to attend the National School of Dramatic Art (ENAD), where he graduated as a master in performing arts in 1991.
