M. Manikandan is an Indian filmmaker and cinematographer. After the release of his first short film, Wind (2010), he caught the attention of Tamil director Vetrimaaran, who helped produce his feature film debut, Kaaka Muttai (2014). The film premiered at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and was critically acclaimed. Kadaisi Vivasayi (2021), his fourth feature film, had its world premiere at IFFR and received unanimously positive responses from audiences and critics alike.
